McCallum Made Shipping Policy
Shipping Policies
Our products range from small items that we can put into the local postbox up to individual shipments that can weigh well over 500kgs. Some products can be packed together to save freight and some cannot.
As such we cannot offer a “one size fits all” shipping policy. We generally use Australia Post or StarTrack for any items under 10kgs, and StarTrack or TNT for bulk delivery of items weighing up to 25kgs. All of these shipments can generally be sent door to door, depending on how rural you are.
Individual items weighing over 25k (basically our chicken tractors) need to be sent via truck to freight depots. These items cannot be hand delivered to a residential address. We can ship them to a warehouse that normally receives freight, but we cannot send them to an office or home. The customer will need to arrange collection from the freight depot – either by themselves with a trailer / ute or they can arrange someone else to go on their behalf.
So how much is freight?
Due to the huge differences in the size of items and the sheer number of carriers which we use we cannot provide a freight quote until we know what you want and where you live. The easiest way to get a freight quote is to place an order on the system and choose “Internet Banking” as your payment option. This will allow you to place an order without paying for it and let you make up your mind once you know the final freight cost.
On some items please read the item description carefully as we might add an “estimated” freight cost for the purchase of a single item of that product. This will mainly be on items that can be sent by Australia Post.
It is difficult to be more precise in this explanation as freight prices vary widely from town to town in rural Australia. If you order and the freight surcharge is more than you wish to pay a 100% refund of your purchase will be provided.
For orders which include a chicken tractor, a shipping fee can only be calculated once we have received your order. We have included a shipping estimation guide. Please check here.
Turnaround
Orders (except for chicken tractors) are shipped within 24 – 48 hours Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
All chicken tractors are held in stock in our warehouse in Western Sydney. The dispatch occurs after 2-3 working days of payment and delivery time will then depend on how far from Sydney the delivery address is.
How is your order shipped?
McCallum Made uses the following carriers. StarTrack, Toll, Northline, TNT. We deliver to residential and business addresses and depots. No PO Boxes, please.
Tracking your order
A consignment note is provided to the customer by the shipping carrier. So, as long as McCallum Made receives an email address and a mobile number with your order.
At the time of booking, the shipping carrier contacts the customer by email and/or text, to confirm the consignment number for the booking made.
Delivery Insurance – COMPLIMENTARY
McCallum Made chooses the freight company, so we don’t see why you should have to pay extra to receive peace of mind. All of our products are shipped at our risk.
